Ate Gay closes siomai business as showbiz gigs slowly resume

It's back to "Walang Himala" for Ate Gay as she closed her food business, "Siomai Himala," less than a year of operation.

According to a report on Pep.ph, the comedian only ran the business during the enhanced community quarantine after she was left jobless with the closure Klownz and Zirkoh.

She is one of the many celebrities who ventured into food businesses during the lockdown.

"ECQ, wala akong magawa, e, sarado 'yung mga ano, comedy bars, e, hangga't wala kang mga ginagawa, e, di nagtayo ka ng Siomai Himala," she said in a press conference.

With the economy slowly reopening, Ate Gay has gotten more showbiz gigs that left her no time to focus on her food business.

She previously manned the siomai stall herself, serving delicious food and good vibes to her customers.

"Ngayon nung medyo okay-okay na ang trabaho, isinara ko na," she said. "E, kasi walang nagbabantay. Pag wala ako dun, walang bumibili, e!"

"Kasi 'yung mga bumibili dun, nagpapa-picture kasi nga ang ganda ng appearance ko sa 24 Oras," she added.

Ate Gay's siomai business was featured in the evening news program last July.
