George R.R. Martin is developing a sci-fi TV series based on the novel 'Roadmarks'
George R.R. Martin will soon be dishing out more fantasy stories.
The "Game of Thrones" author is reportedly developing a television adaptation of the sci-fi novel "Roadmarks" by Roger Zelazny with "Star Trek: Discovery" writer Kalinda Vazquez.
According to a report on Deadline, Martin will be the executive producer to the series for HBO.
"My career in television started in 1985 when I adapted Roger Zelazny’s Last Defender of Camelot for The Twilight Zone," Martin was quoted as saying. "Roger was a friend, a mentor, and one of the greatest science fiction writers who ever lived. It was an honor to be able to bring his work to television."
"That is why I am so thrilled to be a part of adapting Roger’s novel Roadmarks for HBO. We have a great book, a great screenwriter in Kalinda Vasquez, and the makings of a wonderful, original show. I look forward to a long and thrilling journey," he added.
Published in 1979, "Roadmarks" revolves around a highway that allows gifted people to travel through time. —JCB, GMA News
