Mak Tumang designs gown to celebrate 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines
Mak Tumang designed a gown for Jamie Rivera ahead of the celebration for the 500 years of Christianity in the Philippines.
In a Facebook post on Monday, the fashion designer shared photos of the white gown which has cerulean tones with writings at the bottom and a dove at the back.
The design was inspired by the logo released by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila.
"My passion allows me to create pieces that give honor to our Creator - for the talent that He bestowed upon me," Tumang wrote in the caption.
"Thus, it has become my mission to offer my time and talent to commit to endeavors that honor Him. Indeed a blessing to be part of this," he added.
Jamie wore the gown in the music video of her new song "We Give Our Yes," the official mission song of Christianity's 500th anniversary in the country.
Known for performing inspirational songs, the singer is the voice of "We Are All God's Children," the official theme song of the Papal Visit in 2015.
