'Lupin' Part 2 is coming to Netflix this summer

Netflix on Friday announced that French series "Lupin" is returning this summer with fresh episodes.

The heist show, which has become a worldwide phenomenon, has been Number 1 in Netflix’s Top 10 across more than ten countries.

According to a statement from the streaming giant,  the five new episodes are directed by Ludovic Bernard (The Climb) and Hugo Gélin (Love at second sight).

The first part of "Lupin," titled "In the shadow of Arsène," stars Omar Sy as Assane Diop, who sets out to avenge his father for an injustice inflicted by a wealthy family.

Earlier this month, "Lupin" breezed past Netflix's biggest recent blockbuster "The Queen's Gambit" which has 62 million views and other English-language hits including "Bridgerton." —JCB, GMA News
