IU drops new single ‘Celebrity’

IU has released her new single titled “Celebrity”!

According to the translated lyrics on Genius, IU sings, “don’t forget among the cloudy dark/you’re a star painted with a left hand,” telling the listener, “you are my celebrity.” 

A music video was also released for the song, which will be part of the South Korean singer’s upcoming fifth album.

Known as Korea’s “little sister,” IU is one of the country’s biggest solo female artists. In 2020, she won the digital daesang or grand prize for her song “Blueming” at the Golden Disc Awards.

She also collaborated on a single with Suga of BTS, “Eight,” which topped South Korean charts and reached No. 1 on iTunes charts in over 50 countries.

IU is also an actor who has appeared on several television dramas, including “The Producers,” “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,” and “Hotel del Luna.” – RC, GMA News
