Lea Salonga gets tweet from ‘lifelong fan’ Tablo of Epik High

Fans are rejoicing as they witness the epic interaction between music greats Lea Salonga and Tablo of Epik High on Wednesday.

Earlier, the singer tweeted that she just discovered Epik High, a South Korean hip hop group and one of the country’s biggest musical acts.

“Thanks to a nudge, I’ve now just discovered #EpikHigh. Where on earth have I been ... their stuff is fantastic! @blobyblo @realmithrajin #DJTukutz,” Lea wrote, tagging the members Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz.

Not long after, Tablo retweeted Lea, admitting to being a “lifelong fan” in a mix of English and Korean.

“Oh my god Lea Salonga!!!!!!! I can’t believe you heard my music!!!! I am a lifelong fan!!!!” he wrote in all caps, adding a line from “Reflection,” which was sung by Lea on “Mulan.”

The interaction had many fans raving, and Lea Salonga became a trending topic in the Philippines late Wednesday. 

Epik High released their 10th full-length album “Epik High Is Here (Part 1)” on Monday.

Lea later said that she received the said nudge from Docskim, a South Korean producer, keyboardist and composer who has worked with BTS.

The multi-awarded Filipino singer and actress is a known fan of BTS, the first South Korean act to hit No. 1 on Billboard’s single and album charts and the first K-Pop group to receive a Grammy nomination. – RC, GMA News
