Momoland's Nancy becomes victim of illegally manipulated photos

Momoland member Nancy has become the victim of illegally manipulated photos that have begun spreading online.

The K-pop group's agency MLD Entertainment sounded the alarms in a statement translated by Soompi.

"Illegally manipulated photos of Nancy have recently circulated on online and social networking platforms. Nancy is a victim of having photos being inappropriately taken and manipulated," it said.

"The person that should be protected first and foremost is Nancy. We ask for your cooperation with a heavy heart," it added.

MLD Entertainment said it is cooperating with police and judicial authorities to take legal action against the perpetrator, and those who took part in spreading the photos.

It added that Nancy is "currently undergoing severe emotional turmoil."

"We long for an end to malicious posts that harass our artist. We will continue to make every effort to protect our artists from additional damage through continuous monitoring," it said.

Momoland is known for their hit songs "BAAM" and "BBoom BBoom," among many others.

Back in November, they released single "Ready Or Not," which they collaborated with rap star PSY. —JCB, GMA News
