’Sex and the City’ is returning for an all-new series
We can all look for love one more time as “Sex and the City” is getting an all-new series on HBO Max!
According to Variety, the reboot is titled “And Just Like That” and it would follow Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes ( Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) as they navigate love and friendshio in their 50s.
Blatantly absent is the character Samantha Jones, played by Kim Catrall.
Much to the delight of “Sex and the City” fans, the three actresses are all confirmed to be on the show, and shared a teaser on Instagram.
The clip features sights and sounds around the bustling city of New York, and Carrie Bradshaw’s signature voice over saying “And just like that.”
The original “Sex and the City”s series, created by Darren Star based on the novel of the same name, ran for six seasons until 2004.
The iconic story about a glamorous editor looking for love in NYC was made into two films, “Sex and the City” in 2008 and “Sex and the City 2” in 2010. A prequel starring AnnaSophia Robb, “The Carrie Diaries” also premiered in 2013.
