Ben&Ben percussionist Toni Muñoz undergoes surgery

Ben&Ben’s percussionist and vocalist Toni Muñoz has just undergone major surgery.

Posting a photo of Toni in a hospital bed on Saturday, the nine-member band announced on their Facebook page: “Sharing with you na si Toni, ang aming percussionist-vocalist, ay nag-undergo ng major surgery kaya pansamantala siyang mawawala sa ibang mga events and shows ng Ben&Ben.”

According to Toni, the surgery went well and although she still felt pain, she felt “so much better than yesterday.”

“At alam kong mas magiging okay pa sa mga susunod na araw,” Toni said. “Salamat sa mga pamilya at kaibigan na nagdasal para sa akin, at sa mga nagpadala ng mga mensahe.”

The band member added: “I promise to take it easy para mabilis akong gumaling nang tuluyan. Your prayers, well-wishes, and messages are very well appreciated.”

Last month, Ben&Ben, known for their hit songs “Make It With You” and “Sa Susunod Na Habang Buhay,” was recognized as Spotify Philippines’ Most Streamed Artist of 2020. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
