'Attack on Titan' manga is ending on April 9

The "Attack on Titan" manga is finally ending after nearly 12 years.

According to a report from Anime News Network, publishing company Kodansha announced on Tuesday that Hajime Isayama will conclude the series on April 9.

The manga was first published in September 2009 and rose to popularity after it was adapted into an anime in 2013.

A second season followed in 2017 and a two-part third season was released in 2018 and 2019.

The fourth and final season is now airing on several platforms, including streaming giant Netflix.

A live action adaptation was also released in 2015.

"Attack on Titan" tells the story of post-apocalyptic world where humanity was forced to live behind walls to protect itself from extinction at the hands of human-eating monsters called Titans.
