'Prince of Tennis' has a new anime featuring first-ever showdown between Hyotei and Rikkai

The "Prince of Tennis" franchise is coming with fresh content in 2021!

According to a report on Anime News Network, the franchise will have a new anime called "The New Prince of Tennis: Hyotei vs Rikkai Game of Future."

It will feature the first-ever showdown between the two schools, the main rivals of Ryoma Echizen's Seigaku.

The format is not clear, but manga creator Takeshi Konomi will supervise the development of the tennis matches.

A promotional video has been released on Christmas day, showing team captains Keigo Atobe and Seiichi Yukimura shaking hands on a court. The other members of both teams are also seen in the teaser.

The first part of the anime will be released on February 13, with the second part following in either February or March.
