The film is wound with satire and mystery as the film unravels the life of Rizal through the investigation of two filmmakers who "interview" key people present in the national hero's life.
The film, which starred Ricky Davao, Joel Torre, Cris Villanueva, Cherry Pie Picache, Daria Ramirez, Rio Locsin, and Joonee Gamboa, among others, won numerous awards in the 23rd Gawad Urian in 2000. —Kaela Malig/MGP, GMA News
