Blackpink postpones virtual concert 'The Show' to January 2021
Blackpink has postponed its upcoming virtual concert "The Show."
In an announcement video, the South Korean girl group said that the concert will now be held on January 31, 2021.
"Thank you so much Blinks for your support for 'The Show.' Due to the consistent spread of the COVID-19 pandemic we're sure that many of you are going through hard times," the girls said.
"We can't wait to meet our Blinks soon but in order to comply with the Korean COVID-19 prevention guidelines and to ensure a safe performance, unfortunately we made the decision to postpone from December 27th to January 31st of next year," they added.
The group said it's hoping to "give you some sort of comfort during these difficult times."
However, it added that "the most important thing is the health and safety of everyone taking part in The Show so in order to make sure that we prepare for the concert in a safe environment we have decided to postpone the show."
Blackpink also recognized the efforts of all the frontliners.
"Thank you so much to all the medical staff who are working nonstop to give their best efforts at this moment and all the people who are working very hard to disinfect, quarantine and prevent the disease," Blackpink said.
Blackpink previously announced that their concert will be held on December 27.
