Twitter explodes as 'My Hero Academia' fans find out Bakugo's hero name

Warning: Spoilers for the manga ahead!

It didn't escape "My Hero Academia" fans' notice that Bakugo Katsuki has yet to reveal his hero name.

To those following the story, you'd know that his prior ideas for a name were turned down by his teacher, Midnight. Later in the manga, he said that his internship mentor Best Jeanist would be the first person he'd tell his hero name to.

Well, it looks like the day has come for the world to know Bakugo's hero name.

A popular fan translator has leaked the much awaited revelation on Twitter, and of course, netizens lost it.

"Dynamite/DynaMight, The God of Great Killing Bomb, or, Dynamite/DynaMight, The Great Bomb Killer," user Atsushi said, spilling the beans to over 38,000 followers.

Fans who have gotten their hands on a copy of the latest issue, Chapter 293, also confirmed the fact, making #BNHA293 trend on Twitter.

The reveal had "Bakugo" and "DynaMight" shoot up the Philippines' top trends list almost immediately. His nickname "Kacchan," given to him by protagonist Midoriya Izuku, also made it to the list, as well as "Ground Zero," the hero name given to him by many in the fandom.

"Deku," the hero name of Midoriya, also trended.

"My Hero Academia" follows Midoriya, who was born "quirkless" in a world defined by Quirks, or superpowers. After gaining a Quirk, he goes on to study in U.A. to learn how to be a hero alongside — whether he likes it or not — his childhood friend-turned-bully Bakugo.

Bakugo, whose Quirk is explosions, seems to have combined his powers with the name of his favorite hero, All Might.

"My Hero Academia" is based on the manga by Kohei Horikoshi. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014 and is currently ongoing.
