Miley Cyrus drops retro-inspired album 'Plastic Hearts'
Miley Cyrus has made an explosive comeback with her new album "Plastic Hearts."
The restro-inspired album was released on Friday, weeks after her single "Midnight Sky" peaked at No.1 on iTunes Philippines.
"Plastic Hearts" features collaborations with Billy Idol, Joan Jett and Dua Lipa. The American singer's new sound honors music made in the ‘70s and ‘80s.
In a handwritten letter about the new album, Miley said she began writing the album over two years ago.
"Thought I had it all figured out," she wrote. "Not just the record—its songs/sounds but my whole f-cking life. No one checks an ego like life itself. Just when I thought the body of work was finished it was all erased, including most of the music’s relevance because everything had changed."
Aside from "Midnight Sky," Miley had previously released her collaboration with Dua Lipa titled "Prisoner" as a single.
"Plastic Hearts," Miley's seventh studio album, is now available on all digital platforms worldwide. —JCB, GMA News
