Blackpink becomes first girl group to reach No. 1 on Billboard's Artist 100
As if breaking multiple Guinness World Records wasn't enough, Blackpink conquers another milestone!
After releasing their first full album, the four-member K-pop group has become the first ever girl group to reach number 1 on Billboard's Artist 100, according to a Soompi report.
For the week of October 17, Blackpink shot up from their no. 65 spot to the very top of the Billboard's Artist 100 chart.
Their album "The Album" also landed on the top spot for the World Albums Charts.
Their song "Lovesick Girls" is also at No. 2 on the Global 200 chart, just second to Jawsh 685, Jason Derulo and BTS' "Savage Love (Laxed - Siren Beat)."
Following their multiple successes, Blackpink is also set to release their first ever documentary on Netflix on Wednesday, October 14. —Kaela Malig/MGP, GMA News
