Make tokwa sisig with this easy recipe from a Bicolana
If you're easing up on the meat, you can try this easy-to-make meal.
During a live "ECQusina" episode on Friday, Kara David, with the help of Bicolana food business owner Melissa Ros via video call, showed viewers how to make tokwa sisig.
First, simply slice each piece of your bean curd or tokwa into two. Afterwards, fry them until they turn golden brown. Once it's all cooked, chop the bean curd into cubes.
Setting aside the main ingredient, mince onion and bell pepper, and sautee them in a pan.
After it's cooked, add the onion and bell pepper onto the bean curd. In a separate bowl, mix in mayonnaise, calamansi, honey, salt and pepper for the tokwa sisig sauce. Once it's all mixed, add it onto the bean curd mixture.
For the finishing touch, mince chili pepper and add onto the dish.
