Tarlac school gives away school supplies in exchange for tansan

A public school in San Manuel, Tarlac is giving away school supplies in exchange for bottle caps ahead of the opening of classes this year.

According to Ian Cruz's report on "24 Oras," Colubot Elementary School is planning to recycle the bottle caps to create their Christmas Belen.

With many stores in their barangay selling soft drinks and mineral water, parents simply have to collect the caps to give their kids what they need for school.

"Naisipan namin na tansan 'yung aming gagawing primary na materyal para hindi po masayang," said Dr. Artbie Samson, the school principal.

The school has so far collected one sack of bottle caps. They need at least two more sacks to make their nativity scene for the holidays.

Talk about hitting three birds with one stone: students get supplies, the school gets materials for decorations, and bottle caps will no longer litter the streets! —MGP, GMA News
