Dante Gulapa offers personal delivery, other perks to online food business customers
Apart from delivering his customers’ orders himself, Dante Gulapa is even willing to give them a free dance performance and a chance to take a photo with him!
In a “24 Oras” report Thursday, the internet celebrity said that after he and his wife got back together, they began an online food business, selling lumpiang shanghai, togue, and isda, and desserts like biko and mango graham float.
While his wife did the cooking and the preparations, Dante personally delivered the orders to the clients.
He also revealed that he allowed the customers themselves to decide how much to pay him for the house-to-house delivery.
“Bahala po kayo kung magkano po ma-iabot niyo pag ako nag-deliver, ganoon,” he said.
“May libre pa pong picture, sabi kong ganon. Eh kung sakali nga may libre pang sayaw eh,” he added.
Dante, a former macho dancer who went viral online for his “flying eagle” dance move, said they launched the online business after he lost gigs amid the pandemic.
“Ngayon po nasa puhunan namin, ngayon kulang kulang Php 2,000 tapos kikita din Php 800 to Php 900, minsan ’pag maganda-ganda, Php 1,000 din po,” he shared.
Despite the ups and downs, Dante said he had learned some valuable lessons, one of which was the importance of budgeting wisely.
“Lesson po talaga kailangan mag-budget, marunong humawak ng pera, kung para saan ’yung pinag-iipunan mo, parang ganun,” he said.
“Kailangan mayroon kang nakalaan talaga, hindi basta-basta … waldas nang waldas. Dapat may plano po bago maglabas ng pera.” – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
