Korean zombie film 'Alive' starring Yoo Ah In and Park Shin Hye to hit Netflix in September
Netflix is set to release the Korean zombie film titled "Alive" on September 8.
Staring Yoo Ah In as Oh Jun U and Park Shin Hye as Kim Yu Bin, "Alive" follows the story of a virus outbreak that spreads throughout modern-day Seoul and grows rapidly out of control. The infectious disease turns humans into zombies.
Along with the date confirmation, Netflix dropped the thrilling opening scene of the film on Facebook showing how Jun U first discovered that there was a zombie outbreak from the window of his apartment.
Jun U and Kim Yu Bin both struggle to survive in an apartment complex, where they were trapped alone in their own rooms. They have no access to cellular data, Wi-Fi, text, and phone calls, and their only source of information is news on TV and the view from their apartment windows.

According to a press statement from Netflix, the personalities of the two lead characters are opposite.
Jun U is a typical middle-class man, who enjoys the internet through computer games and social media, utilizing that interest into surviving, while Yu Bin is more old school, taking interest in traditional things like telescopes and camping tools.
The two will eventually work together to survive the outbreak alive.
Yoo Ah In is known for portraying diverse roles in movies and dramas including "Veteran," "Chicago Typewriter," "Six Flying Dragons," among others.
