Batfleck is making a comeback.
According to Vanity Fair, Ben Affleck has agreed to return as Bruce Wayne for one more movie: the upcoming "The Flash."
Despite this, Robert Pattinson is still set to remain the future of the franchise, the report added.
"The Flash" will put the spotlight on Ezra Miller, who first debuted as Barry Allen in the 2016 film "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," before playing a lead role in the 2017 film "Justice League."
The film's director, Andy Muschietti, told Vanity Fair that Affleck will be a "very substantial part of the emotional impact of the movie."
"The interaction and relationship between Barry and Affleck’s Wayne will bring an emotional level that we haven’t seen before. It’s Barry’s movie, it’s Barry’s story, but their characters are more related than we think. They both lost their mothers to murder, and that’s one of the emotional vessels of the movie. That’s where the Affleck Batman kicks in," he said.
Affleck reportedly received the script last week, and recently agreed to the project.
The actor had hung up his Batsuit after playing the brooding vigilante in "Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice" and "Justice League."
