Thai-Italian singer Valentina Ploy hopes to visit Philippines soon
Thai-Italian singer-songwriter Valentina Ploy is excited to meet her Filipino fans.
During a quick Zoom call with GMA News Online, the beauty queen-turned-music artist said she would love to visit the Philippines once the COVID-19 crisis is over.
“It’s a place that is on my wish list,” said the “Love You Better” singer.
“It has been on my wishlist for so long and I wanna go there so much because I’ve been watching and seeing pictures from the islands and stuff, and so many people telling me that the Philippines is like ‘wah! It’s a beautiful country.’ It's a beautiful place and I would love to go there very soon,” she added.
For those who haven’t heard of Valentina Ploy, she is a former contestant on “The Voice Thailand” and a runner-up in Miss Universe Thailand 2018.
A singer-songwriter by heart, Valentina, who grew up in Italy, pursued a music career and released hit song after hit song under Thai record label What the Duck.
She just released her latest EP titled “Satellite” on June 18. “Love You Better,” one of the songs from the album, made it to Spotify’s Pop Rising Philippines playlist and cracked the local Viral 50.
During the interview, Valentina took the opportunity to thank her “very warm and kind” Filipino fans.
“Sometimes, I receive so many messages from them and they’re so nice,” said Valentina.
“I can feel, like, you know, that welcoming and warm energy from them, and yet something that makes me feel very good. I feel so glad and grateful for that,” she added.
Valentina also said she would love to visit the Philippines once the COVID-19 pandemic is over.
The Thai-Italian rising star, who was effortlessly gorgeous and sunny during the Zoom call, also surprised us with how much Filipino she knew.
“Thank you so much. Salamat po! Mahal kita! I don’t know if I’m saying this right,” Valentina said, giggling.
