David Blaine to attempt his first big stunt in a decade this August

David Blaine is set to wow the world with his first major live stunt in nearly a decade.
The famous American illusionist announced that his next magical feat will be live-streamed this month as a YouTube Original titled "Ascension."

"This stunt has been 10 years in the making," Blaine tweeted. "Let's turn worry into wonder and take magic to new heights."
According to a teaser video posted on the magician's YouTube channel, Blaine will "magically ascends above Earth, in his biggest live performance yet."
"Manifesting one of his most vivid childhood dreams, David reminds us all to rise above," the video description read.
According to The Verge, Blaine will be attaching himself to helium balloons and attempt to float across the Hudson River from New Jersey to New York.
Blaine's last big stunt was in 2000, when he attempted to encase himself in ice for 72 hours. However, he failed. A year prior to that, he was buried beneath a three-ton water tank for a week.
"Ascension" will stream on August 31.
