Patrick Star to get his own show on Nickelodeon -reports

Move over, SpongeBob — it's Patrick Star's time to shine.

According to Deadline, the endearing starfish from our childhood is getting his own spin-off series on Nickelodeon titled "The Patrick Star Show."

It will reportedly have 13 episodes, and as the title suggests, it will follow Patrick as he hosts a late-night talk show.

The deal for the project is being finalized, the report added, but voiceover recordings have already begun. Patrick is voiced by Bill Fagerbakke.

"SpongeBob SquarePants" has been a popular kids' cartoon series since 1999.

The franchise's next movie, "SpongeBob SquarePants: Sponge on the Run," is set to make a digital debut, after the COVID-19 pandemic made creators pivot from a theatrical release.
