Did Rico Blanco foresee 15 years into the future with his ostrich painting?

The ostrich on-the-run incident in Quezon City was superbly unexpected, or was it?

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, musician Rico Blanco shared an image of his 15-year old painting which appeared to predict the ostrich incident yesterday morning.

The painting showed an ostrich walking around a city in red and dark hues.

“When I painted this 15 years ago I was simply going for ‘surreal,’” the singer said on the caption.

On Tuesday, netizens were both surprised and amazed when they saw clips of the ostrich, which immediately went viral.

The ostrich was seen running amok around a private subdivision in Quezon City.

YouScooper Gorgeous Umipig shared a photo of the ostrich being held down by a group of security guards, construction workers, and residents.

Gorgeous said she saw two ostriches running loose in the subdivision. One was captured, but the other seemed to have ran away.

Although she was able to take a photo of the ostrich being caught, she said she wasn’t sure if the capture was “successful.”
