Miss Supranational is now under Miss World Philippines

Miss World Philippines has announced that it has acquired the Miss Supranational beauty pageant.

“Aside from strengthening our foothold in the local and global pageant scenes, the addition of the Miss Supranational title will provide our aspiring Filipina queens with another relevant platform for women empowerment,” MWP national director Arnold Vegafria wrote on a Facebook post Tuesday.

A letter from Mister and Miss Supranational Organization president Gerhard Parzutka Von Lipinski was also attached to the post, stating how much he was delighted to inform Vegafria that ALV Events, the MWP producer in the Philippines, was now the official franchise holder for both Mister and Miss Supranational.

Miss Supranational is the latest addition to MWP, which currently holds the franchises for Reina Hispanoamericana, Miss Eco International, Miss Eco Teen International, Miss Multinational, and Miss Philippines Tourism.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Miss World Philippines 2020 pageant has been moved to January 2021. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
