'Weathering with You' is coming to Netflix on July 31

After "Your Name," Netflix is now releasing Makoto Shinkai's "Weathering with You."

The 2019 hit anime film is set to premiere on the streaming platform on July 31.

The story follows high school freshman Hodaka, who runs away to bustling, ever-raining Tokyo and falls for Hina, a girl who seems able to manipulate the weather.

"Weathering with You (Tenki No Ko) had an even higher opening weekend gross than "Your Name (Kimi no Na wa)," and was the #1 Anime Movie in Japan last year.

Shinkai's other works include "5 centimeters per second" and "The Garden of Words." He is known for his stunning visuals and exploring the themes of young love.
