5 types of PPEs you can wear for everyday protection
Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) every day is one way to take extra precautions to prevent getting infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
In a report on Unang Balita, Natalya Palaca, VP for operations of PPE supplier Practico Solutions Int'l Inc., talked about the different kinds of everyday protective suits people can wear.
According to Natalya, PPE "protects you from any hazard encounter from any droplets that would enter and it's a prevention for any transmission of virus."
Here are the 5 types of everyday PPEs you can wear.
1. Dress type with hood
Type of PPE is mostly used for clinics and doctors who have hospital rounds. The dress design makes it easier for people to go to the bathroom to pee.
The dress type with hood is comfortable to wear so it can also be used when you are running your errands.
2. Turtleneck overlap
The turtleneck overlap dress which looks very stylish is mostly used for clinics and hospital rounds.
According to Natalya, this type is mostly worn by dentists since it is easy to remove. She also reminded that users should wear something inside before wearing this PPE.
However, with its stylish presentation it looks just as good as a dress you would casually wear when you go out.
3. Stylish turtleneck PPE jacket
The stylish turtleneck PPE jacket is mostly used in offices for their casual wear.
You can wear any type of pants to make your whole look more casual inside the office while still having a layer of protection
4. Two piece PPE with side pockets
For a more modern look, this two piece PPE with side pockets looks posh. Its top is made to be tucked into pants.
It's also good for those who don't like to bring bags since it features several pockets.
According to Natalya, this type is used as an alternative scrub suit inside the emergency room.
Although it looks good as it is, she reminded users that they should wear something inside before layering themselves with this PPE.
5. Barong type PPE
The Barong type PPE speaks for itself. It can be used in any corporate set-up including meetings, litigations, and other formal gatherings.
Just like most PPEs, it has a water-repellant feature to keep the user protected from droplets.
