Kara David goes back to serving church as lector amid GCQ

Journalist Kara David went back to serving the church as a lector amid the general community quarantine.

According to the Facebook page of "New Normal: Survival Guide," Kara went back to serving the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Shrine after restrictions on gatherings were slowly lifted.

In an Instagram post, Kara also shared how grateful she was for finally being able to be of service yet again.

"Salamat po Panginoon sa pagkakataong makapaglingkod muli," she said, adding the various ways the church is adapting to the new normal: a limit of 10 attendees, a strict practice of social distancing, hand washing stations all around.

Kara is set to be the host of the weekly show "Bright Side" as part of the new "New Normal: Survival Guide" series which helps Filipino cope with the pandemic.

Kara's "Bright Side" will air every Tuesday, Winne Monsod's  “Newsmakers” every Monday, Susan Enriquez' “Pera Paraan” every Wednesday; Rovilson and Tonipet's “Home Work” every Thursday; and Drew's “Family Time” every Friday. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
