Anyone from all over the world can join YouTube's historic documentary 'Life in a Day'


YouTube has launched a collaborative historic documentary called "Life in a Day" where anyone from all over the world can join.

According to its website, people can film their day on July 25 so they can take part in the global documentary which will be produced by Ridley Scott and directed by Kevin Macdonald.

 

Those who want to join can read the filming requirements and upload their footage on their website starting July 25 until August 2.

Chosen videos filmed by people from all over the world will be woven together as one feature film.

YouTube wrote, "In 2020, history is being made every day. Australian bushfires. Civil unrest in Hong Kong. A pandemic that took precious lives and changed the way we live. Protests in every corner of America — and around the world — to demand that Black Lives Matter."

The feature film will be premiering at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival.

In July 2010, Macdonald and his team created a 90-minute feature film from videos submitted by thousands of people showing what their day looked like.

 

According to the website over 80,000 clipswere submitted from 189 countries. and "Life in a Day" became " the biggest participatory film project ever made."—AOL, GMA News
