Lil Vinceyy reveals sweet love story behind ‘Chinita Girl’

Lil Vinceyy’s feel-good song “Chinita Girl” has become popular because of a dance craze on TikTok, but did you know that there is a sweet story behind its lyrics?

The Pinoy singer and rap artist revealed who the real “Chinita Girl” was during an interview on GMA-7’s “Unang Hirit.”

According to the singer, his friend had a huge crush on a beautiful “singkit” girl but he couldn’t bring himself to express his feelings for her.

“May gusto po siya sa isang singkit na babae, tapos kinuwento niya po sa ’kin, tapos hanggang sa hindi niya po … sobrang torpe niya po kasi talaga. Hindi niya po masabi yung gusto niya nararamdaman doon sa singkit po na babae na ’yon na maganda,” he said.

Fortunately, this friend and the “Chinita girl” eventually ended up together.

“Naging sila na po eh!” Lil Vinceyy said.

It was very sweet of him to write a song about his friend’s love story, but don’t think he didn’t pour some of his own feelings onto “Chinita Girl.”

“Nilagyan ko na rin po ng ’onting input po dun sa nararamdaman ko sa gusto ko rin po na babae, pero hindi naman po kasi siya Chinita,” he said.
