Allan K’s Zirkoh, Klownz comedy bars shut down permanently

Iconic sister comedy bars Zirkoh and Klownz in Quezon City are permanently closing its doors amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

Owned by host Allan K and Lito Alejandria, the comedy bars considered landmarks in the city’s nightlife have joined the list of establishments hit by the health crisis.

The shutdown takes place as the bars almost reach their two-decade mark.

Actor and performer Phillip Lazaro confirmed the news in a Facebook post on Tuesday and asked his friends and colleagues for prayers. 

“Sa aming mga napatawa at napasaya sa mga lumipas na taon, the pleasure was definitely ours,” he said. 

“Sa aming mga boss Sir Lito at A.K., thanks for the opportunity. Marami pong salamat sa inyong lahat at sa uulitin,” he added.

These comedy bars aren’t the only ones closing down amid the pandemic.
