BTS releases uplifting music video for Japanese single ‘Stay Gold’
A week after releasing the song on music streaming platforms, BTS unveils the music video for its latest Japanese hit “Stay Gold.”
The uplifting song features the members’ powerful vocals with its message, “things may not be all good, but please don’t lose your shine.”
The pop track opens with the lyrics, “in a world where you feel cold, you gotta stay gold, oh baby,” and assures listeners “as long as you’re here, I don’t need anything else.”
Less than 24 hours after its release, “Stay Gold” reached No. 1 on iTunes’ Top Song chart in 82 countries, including Japan, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
The song is the lead single off BTS’s 4th full-length Japanese album “Map of the Soul: 7 – The Journey,” which will be available on music sites and record stores July 15.
The 13-track album will include 4 new songs and Japanese versions of some of the group’s latest hits, including “ON,” “Black Swan,” and “Boy With Luv.”
“Stay Gold” follows “Lights,” the group’s Japanese song released in July 2019, which topped iTunes in 43 countries and broke records on local charts. – RC, GMA News
