Megan Young to battle in Mobile Legends tournament to raise funds for HIV patients

Megan Young will be battling in a Mobile Legends tournament for a cause against drag persona Luzviminda Marie Mildred K. Capinpin, also known as Red Fernandez.

In a press statement released by TaskUs, the company said Megan will be bringing together both her love for gaming and her advocacy for the LGBTQIA through the tournament titled “VersUs: The TaskUs Battles.”

Proceeds for this tournament will be given to the LoveYourself organization to be used for the delivery of HIV test kits and essential antiretroviral medicines to its clients.

According to TaskUs, this tournament is the first esports fundraiser for the LGBTQIA+ community in partnership with Metro Manila Pride.

The Kapuso actress’ opponent in the tournament, Red, is also a LoveYourself volunteer HIV counselor, while Megan herself is an active ally of the LGBTQIA+ community in advocating their equal rights.
