‘Money Heist’ actor Alvaro Morte stars in new HBO Asia thriller ‘The Head’
HBO Asia has a chilling new survival thriller coming this Friday (June 12) called “The Head.”
The six-part series set in Antartica is about a small team of scientists from different countries who are left in charge of the Polaris VI international station during the long polar nights. But in the midst of winter, the station mysteriously stops communicating with the outside world.
The show’s talented and diverse cast includes Spanish actor Alvaro Morte who you may know as The Professor on “Money Heist.”
The video above shows a snippet where Morte introduces us to his character Ramon, the station’s philosophy-buff cook who seems to be hiding a huge secret.
“The Head” also stars Japanese popstar Tomohisa Yamashita as Aki Kobayashi, a young and promising biologist who is eager to prove his worth; and Danish actor Alexandre Willaume as Johann Berg, the base commander who returns to find a most gruesome discovery.
The international cast also includes John Lynch (“The Terror”), Katherine O’Donnelly (“Mary Queen of Scots”), Laura Bach (“Sprinter Galore”) Sandra Andreis (“The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”), Amelia Hoy (“Killing Eve”) , Chris Reilly (“Allied”, “Everest”), Richard Sammel (“Inglorious Bastards”) and Tom Lawrence (“The King”, “The Crown”).
This HBO Asia Original production created by Alex Pastor and David Pastor, and directed by Jorge Dorado is set to premiere Friday, June 12 at 9 p.m. on HBO and HBO GO.
