‘Crash Landing on You’ star Hyun Bin is Philippine telco’s new endorser

It looks like we’ll be seeing more of Korean actor Hyun Bin on our TV screens and mobile gadgets!

On Twitter Wednesday, PLDT wireless unit Smart Communications dropped a video teaser featuring a man who looked like the “Crash Landing on You” actor in a sports car.

PLDT president and CEO Manuel V. Pangilinan shortly replied to the tweet, confirming that Hyun Bin himself would appear in an ad for the company on June 1.

Yes. Hyun Bin it is. Ad online and tv will breakout on Monday, June 1, around noon. Go go go Smart!

“Crash Landing on You” features Hyun Bin as Captain Ri Jung Hyuk, a North Korean officer who falls in love with South Korean heiress Yoon Se-ri, played by Son Ye-jin. It aired from December 2019 to February 2020 and is one of the highest-rating Korean dramas in history.
