Dancing senior citizens take TikTok by storm amid quarantine
Even senior citizens have hopped on the TikTok bandwagon!
With nothing else to do amid the enhanced community quarantine, the elderly summoned the youthful energy as they showed their dancing chops on the popular app.
In Oscar Oida's report for "24 Oras," seniors busted out the moves of famous TikTok choreographies together with grandchildren.
Others, like Lolo Obet and Lola Siony Marcelo, even come up with themed productions using their own concepts.
"Naghanap kami ng magandang tugtog tas hahanap ako ng costume na babagay dun sa kanta na 'yun," Lola Siony said.
According to the couple, they do these videos as a way to ease their children's worries because the two of them live in Taytay, Rizal by themselves.
The elderly have a high-risk of developing severe illness should they get infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
But for Lolo Obet and Lola Siony, they will do what they can give a small happiness to everyone in this health crisis.
"Makapagbigay kami ng kasiyahan sa mga taong naka quarantine, mapasaya namin sila at malibang sila habang nasa loob sila ng bahay," Lola Siony said. —Kaela Malig/MGP, GMA News
