Netflix drops the official trailer of 'The King: Eternal Monarch'


Netflix on Monday dropped the official trailer of the newest Korean drama this month titled "The King: Eternal Monarch."

This will be Lee Min Ho's comeback series after "Legend of the Blue Sea" in 2016.

The Korean actor will be starring alongside Kim Go-eun, who is well-known for her role in "Goblin."

"The King: Eternal Monarch" is a romantic fantasy drama that follows a story of relationships between people from two parallel universes.

In the series, Lee will play the role of King Lee Gon who is seeking to seal the gate between the two universes.

The trailer showed how King Lee Gon passed through the portal to the parallel universe where he meets Kim's character Jung Tae-eul, a police inspector.

At the latter part of the trailer, King Lee Gon tells Tae-eul "I've finally met you."

The newest K-drama series was written by Kim Eun-suk, the same person wrote "Goblin," "Mr. Sunshine," and "Descendants of the Sun."

It will be directed by Baek Sang-hoon, who previously directed "Secret," "Who Are You: School 2015," and "Descendants of the Sun," and Jeong Jee-hyun the creator of "Search:WWW."

"The King: Eternal Monarch" is only one of the five K-dramas that are set to premiere on Netflix starting April.

Other series that are anticipated on Netflix include "Rugal," "Extracurricular," "Time to Hunt," and "It's Okay to Not be Okay."
