Coldplay vocalist Chris Martin holds mini gig on IG live
Coldplay's vocalist Chris Martin brought some entertainment to those who are stuck inside their homes as the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) forced many cities in the world to impose lockdown measures.
He held a mini gig on Instagram live on Tuesday (Manila time) and the full video was later posted in the band's Facebook page.
"I thought what would be nice would be to check in with some of you out there and see how you are and where you are and what I could do for you," Martin said.
Martin took requests from Instagram users and played songs from Coldplay's catalogue such as "A sky full of stars," "Viva la vida," "Green eyes," "Clocks," "Yellow," and "Up and up."
The singer called his initiative #TogetherAtHome. The full set lasted half an hour.
John Legend, who got wind of Martin's little concert, announced he will also hold a mini gig of his own.
My friend Chris Martin did a lovely little concert from home today. I'll be doing one tomorrow at 1pm Pacific time. See you soon. We'll try to get through this together! #TogetherAtHome https://t.co/YZ8Y1W8esc
