Carla Abellana adopts two adorable dogs from PAWS
Actress and animal welfare advocate Carla Abellana revealed that she just adopted two black and white aspins from the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) on Friday.
In a YouTube vlog, the Kapuso actress said that she wanted to adopt more pets so that they could keep her Jack Russell Terrier dog Patches company.
In 2018, Carla's other dog Sunny passed away due to multiple illnesses. Since then, Patches has been alone, wishing for friends.
The two adopted dogs, who were now part of Carla's family, had expressive eyes which she immediately fell in love with.
Their names are Wing and Fly, and they seemed shy and scared when she first approached them.

"Yung previous owner po kasi nila unfortunately passed away and it wasn't a few days bago mahanap 'yung body ng former owner nila. So medyo traumatizing ng kakaunti," she said.
"PAWS rescued the two aspins together from their previous home," she said. "Through the help of the PAWS volunteers, na-rehabilitate naman nila 'yung dalawa."
It took Carla a few visits to warm up to Wing and Fly. On adoption day, she was accompanied by her boyfriend Tom Rodriguez.
Both of them seemed to be taken with the two adorable dogs.

For the "Love of My Life" star, this was her Valentine's gift to herself.
"It was a big step. Pinagisipan ko naman po ng maigi and ginawa ko ultimately for myself and for Patches," she said.
At the end of the video, Carla encouraged everyone who wanted to adopt dogs and cats, to approach the PAWS.
"Kung gusto niyo mag-adopt, I highly encourage na mag-adopt kayo ng aspin or puspin from PAWS because napakasarap ng feeling na makapagbigay ng pagmamahal and ng bagong family and home sa mga aspins and puspins na nangangailangan," she said. —Angelica Y. Yang/MGP, GMA News
