Alden Richards' customized gaming setup costs nearly half a million — PEP

After posting a photo of his new PC gaming setup, Asia's Multimedia Star Alden Richards trended on Twitter with the hashtag #AldenPautang.

The expensive-looking rig was customized by popular PC modder Mark van Acosta, according to a report by PEP.ph.

Taking into consideration the PC components and accessories, Mark estimated the total cost to be around P450,000.

Some of the components of the Pambansang Bae's PC set-up include a i9 9900k, Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero, Asus 2080 Ti Strix OC, 1 TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus M.2, and a custom water-cooling system, among others.

In Aubrey Carampel's report for "24 Oras," Alden said he invested in the gaming rig because it has been his hobby since he was seven years old.

"At the same time gusto ko rin mapakita sa gaming community na I'm part of them. Kasi parang konting konting celebrities lang ang very into gaming," he said.

Mark told PEP.ph that it was "Goyo" actor Paulo Avelino who referred him to Alden. He added that Paulo helped Alden set up his gaming PC in his Quezon City home.

On Tuesday, Mark shared his finished work on Facebook, tagging his client Alden and expressing his gratitude to Paulo for the referral. —Angelica Y. Yang/MGP, GMA News
