Disney unveils trailer for 'Artemis Fowl' film adaptation

Do you remember the name Fowl, Artemis Fowl?

Disney is making a film adaptation of the popular book series, which centers around the 12-year-old criminal mastermind who discovers the existence of fairies, and finds his way into a magical world.

The official trailer just dropped, showing Artemis going on a mission with Holly Short, an elf police captain, to "save his father, save the world."

However, it seems to have veered away from Artemis being a supervillain, and is presenting him as a superhero instead.

The film stars Ferdia Shaw as Artemis Fowl II, Colin Farrell as Artemis Fowl I, and Lara McDonnel as Holly Short. It is directed by Kenneth Branagh.

According to Disney, "Artemis Fowl" will be in cinemas May 27.
