You should be excited about Netflix's new coming-of-age series 'I Am Not Okay With This' and here's why

The makers of "Stranger Things" and "The End of the F***ing World" are bringing you an exciting new Netflix series about a girl who has to deal with the complexities of highschool, her budding sexuality and her mysterious new superpowers.

"I Am Not Okay With This" starring Sophia Lillis and Wyatt Oleff premieres February 26, 2020 on Netflix.

Here's the trailer:

Why do the actors look so familiar?

"I Am Not Okay With This" is based on a graphic novel from Charles Forsman.

The series would be the "irreverent origin story" that follows the life of Sydney (Sophia Lillis) who navigates the trials and tribulations of high school, all while dealing with the complexities of her family, her budding sexuality, and mysterious superpowers just beginning to awaken deep within her.

You may remember Lillis and Oleff from the "It" movies, where they play friends who come together to defeat a killer clown.

"I Am Not Okay With This" is  also expected to be a thrilling watch, because it's from the director/EP of teen favorites like "The End of the F***ing World" Jonathan Entwistle and the producers of "Stranger Things." — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GMA News
