Iconic PHL jeepney is new Tamiya model kit

A plastic model manufacturer in Japan will release a new toy racing car model inspired by the jeepney, Philippines' iconic public transportation.

This concept was a collaboration between Japanese toymaker Tamiya and its Filipino exclusive distributor.

The toy racing jeepney or "Dyipne"comes in red, with stickers that enthusiasts can decorate with upon assembling the mini 4WD kit.

Toy collector and rapper Krazykyle said, “As early as now, history has been made. I compare it to Iron Man, pinasuot ng barong…We will never know kung uulitin pa nila yan e. So kapag hindi nila inulit, mas tataas yung value, super rare yan.”
