‘Avengers: Endgame’ rakes in P205M on opening day

“Avengers: Endgame” raked in P205,676,345 across 970 screens on opening day.

It is the biggest opening of a Marvel film in Philippine cinemas, breaking the opening day record of 2018’s “Avengers: Infinity War.”

Even before daybreak, long lines crawled through cinemas across the country with excited fans awaiting the earliest possible screening at 6am.

There are cinemas offering 24-hour screenings of the "Endgame" as well as those that earned controversy by offering screenings with Chinese subtitles.
