Former GMA reporter Steve Dailisan gets his official commercial pilot license
Former GMA reporter Steve Dailisan finally got his official commercial pilot license.
On Wednesday, Steve took to Twitter to announce his new milestone with photos of himself getting his shoulder badges — that's "epaulettes" for us — and his wings.
"Officially Licensed Commercial Pilot! Thank you, Lord!" Steve wrote on Twitter, before punctuating with a series of hashtags including #takeoff #pinoypilot #journalistpilot #pinoyaviator #cplholder #humbled #leiaai.

In his post last October, Steve said he left broadcast journalism in February 2018 to pursue his dream of flying.
“When I finished my master’s degree, I asked myself, ‘what’s next?’ Although I think the stars have aligned long before I realized I’m up for a new challenge. In fact I have always been a fan of air crash investigation documentaries. My heart thrills each time I board a plane. From then on, I knew my destination is already charted.”
He said to become a pilot was never his childhood dream. It really just about fulfilling his mission and purpose.
"Being a pilot was never my childhood dream. But our future is not just about our dreams. It’s about fulfilling our mission, our destiny and our life purpose as a whole."
Congratulations, Steve! You serve as an inspiration for all of us! — LA, GMA News
