Pia Wurtzbach on seeing her Madame Tussauds figure: 'It’s like I’m winning all over again'

Pia Wurtzbach said seeing her Madam Tussaud’s wax figure felt like she was winning Miss Universe all over again.

“Naiiyak nga ako kanina nung ni-reveal kasi parang winning moment ulit ‘di ba? Sobrang happy ako, sobrang grateful,” Pia told the press at the unveiling of her wax figure at EDSA Shangri-La hotel.

Pia mirrored her waxed figure at the unveiling event, she was garbed in the same Michael Cinco  Swarovski-embellished royal blue gown, with the same makeup and look.

The Miss Universe 2015 queen shared it was on her birthday last year when she learned the fantastic news that she was going to get her own wax figure.

“Sobrang gandang birthday gift nito," Pia began. "Fininalize na namin na ako yung magiging first-ever Filipino during my birthday last year so that was a really nice birthday gift and sobrang excited ko na from then on.”

She said it was Madame Tussaud’s team who decided on which of her iconic poses to immortalize.

“Ini-imagine ko, ano kayang pose ang gagawin? Ano kaya yung gagawin na gown? Pero yung Madame Tussauds yung namili ng pose at ng gown at ng moment.”

The beauty queen-actor shared how her moment was decided on: to make it interactive with guests.

“Wala na akong maisip pa na better pa na pose kasi very interactive siya for anyone who’s gonna see her, who’s gonna see Pia is gonna be crowned as Miss Universe, ‘di ba?”

Pia said her wax figure will be alongside Kendall Jenner’s and other big celebrities in the “beauty zone” of Madame Tussaud’s in Hong Kong.

“I’m definitely going back to Hong Kong to view it there, by the way guys it’s next to Kendall Jenner,” Pia excitingly shared.
