Here's a throwback of Catriona Gray singing an Adele song back in 2012

With that slow-mo twirl during the preliminaries, our Catriona Gray has certainly captivated the entire universe.

But Cat converts — her new fans, that is — might not know the depths of her talents. For instance, Catriona can sing. Like really, really sing.

Witness exhibit A: In 2012, she uploaded a video of her covering an Adele song of all difficult things. Cat sang the "Set Fire to the Rain" remix, complete with the crescendos, sustains, trembles, and grace notes. 

That particular YouTube account, in fact, has many other videos of Catriona doing covers of different songs.

In her official Miss Universe video, Cat highlighted her love for music. "Even if you don't understand what the lyric is, there's something that everyone can relate to and I love that you can connect on that level," she said.

But here's why she's such a queen: Cat took her love for, and a talent in music a notch further by...studying it. A quick check on her Miss World fact sheet reveals Cat actually has a diploma course in Music Theory from the Berklee College of Music.
