6 reasons 'Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho: Gabi ng Lagim VI' is a must-watch

Halloween's next week and we all know what that means: it's time for "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho's Gabi ng Lagim."

Since 2013, the special has revolutionized the telling of  horror features on TV by commissioning seasoned TV and film directors to depict real-life accounts into three documentary-films.

This  year however is slightly different. This year, "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho: Gabi ng Lagim" is even more of a must-see than its previous editions. We mean:

1. There are more than three stories. This year, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho has upped the game, serving one chilling story more than its usual offering of three. The stories are gruesome and fantastically horrific, with some occurring in familiar places, making them a little too close to home. Bring with you a friend, leave the light on, lahat na!

2. The return of controversial Filipino paranormal expert Ed Caluag. A mainstay in KMJS Gabi ng Lagim presentations, Ed returns this year to investigate a few strange occurrences.

3. The stellar lineup of directors. The KMJS Halloween Special will be handled by resident directors of GMA Public Affairs including Adolf Alix Jr., who has participated in Cannes, Peabody Awardee Aaron Papins Mendoza, Cinemlaya winner Zig Dulay, and KMJS long-time director Rem Gelera.

4. Nathan Lopez’s participation. Remember Nathan from the Cinemalaya classic "Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Oliveros"? The actor returns to the scene with a special participation in one of the spine-tingling stories told on Sunday. His performance is definitely one to watch!

5. The stories actually happened IRL. Yes, they are real. There are real people who can share their personal stories, witnesses with horrific experiences. It is their stories that have shaped the undying myths townsfolk talk about in hushed tones and whispers.

6. Familiar settings. Adding more horror factors to the tales are their familiarity. One, for instance, is on the Manila City Hall. Another is on tiyanak. Still another is on third-eyes, and how one person gifted with it was able to predict a few tragedies of late like the burning down of a resort casino. Crazy strange, right? — LA, GMA News

Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho: Gabi ng Lagim VI will air on Sunday, October 28. Bring a friend!
