Mulawin, Encantadia among fantasy cosplay at Quezon school’s anniversary parade
A school in Quezon Province has a creative and fun way of celebrating its anniversary: with cosplay!
According to a report by GMA News Online contributor Peewee Bacuño, the highlight of the anniversary celebrations of Lopez National Comprehensive High School in the town of Lopez is a cultural and costume parade, with each year level choosing a theme revolving around fantasy; Philippine festivals, culture and traditions; and anime.
The festivities on Tuesday began with the students performing a wellness dance, then they started the parade dressed in beautiful costumes that they clearly worked hard on. GMA fantasy series Mulawin and Encantadia were well-represented, with the Mulawin cosplayers taking the top prize in a "dance showdown" at the end of the parade.
About 5,000 students as well as the townspeople gathered for the celebration.
